The Story Behind the Winery

The sea breeze, the waves, and the roots of our vineyard come together in perfect harmony in Andros, the place that gave birth to both our family and our winery. The island's deep maritime tradition, deeply rooted in our heritage, merged with our passion for wine, leading to the creation of Manesi Winery in 2023.

Our goal is to highlight the authenticity of Andros and the power of nature in every drop of our wine. The name of our series, "Meltemia," inspired by the eternal wind of the island, embodies the dynamic spirit of the land, the sea, and our vineyards.

With respect for traditional cultivation and the power of modern technology, we create wines that bear the signature of Andros. Wines full of freshness and intensity, like the waves crashing on our shores.

¨"My love for wine began with my childhood memories in Andros. I remember wandering around the family vineyard, watching in awe the changes in nature and eagerly awaiting the harvest. I remember the joy I felt entering the traditional press and stepping on the grapes, creating the sweet must that would later become our wine. The taste of the first must was something unique to me, a taste that is never forgotten."

"Our vineyard started with my grandfather, a man I never had the chance to meet, but whose presence lived on in the family's stories. My father lovingly continued this tradition, keeping it alive and passing on to me his passion for viticulture and the art of winemaking. For him, it was a hobby; for me, it became a way of life."

"I studied oenology and viticulture, and with the experience and knowledge I gained, I decided to make my dream a reality. In 2023, I founded Manesi Winery, bringing with me all the tradition, inspiration from my family, and my dedication to quality."
